Science Fair

  • Nampa Library 215 12th Avenue South Nampa, ID, 83651 United States (map)

Our 2nd Annual Homeschool Science Fair is a go! The Idaho Outdoor School is happy to offer this chance to meet more home educated kids in their community and create hands on learning opportunity. This a FREE family friendly event for home educated kids ages 5-13. A parent or guardian will need to stay on site for the duration of the event.

Children will research and create a science experiment at home, an excellent chance to implement the scientific method!

After completing a science experiment and recording data, kids will then craft a posterboard presentation with all the details of their experiment: original hypothesis, how the experiment was conducted, the data a results discovered.

On Friday, March 28th at 4:00 all participating kids will bring their presentation to the Nampa Library where they will set up and teach their peers about what they did and what they learned.

This is a wonderful way for kids to get to take charge of their learning and be able to really immerse themselves in the things they are most interested in! Let them be creative and unique! Last year we had paper airplane challenges, soggy cookie questions, handwashing comparisons. dissections, volcanoes and how animal bones break down.
